The all-new Korando SUV range has become the first SsangYong to be awarded a maximum five-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).
Launched at the end of last month, the all-new mid-sized SUV from Korea has an extensive list of active safety features including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Safety Distance Alert (SDA), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Active Roll-over Protection (ARP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), all standard across the range.
On the passive safety side, the high strength, rigid body structure is complimented by a total of seven airbags. Driver and front passenger airbags, front occupant side airbags and curtain airbags. Safety is further enhanced with the inclusion of a driver's knee airbag across the range.

The ANCAP report identified that the SsangYong Korando provides high levels of adult and child occupant protection and collision avoidance capabilities, with autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and active lane keep assistance fitted as standard across all Australian variants.
