Leading tyre company Kumho has marked the launch of its all new Ecsta PS91 Super UHP tyre with the announcement that it is sponsoring well established track day organiser GP Exec.

GP Exec has developed from a need of a group of motoring enthusiasts who wanted to get out on the track and enjoy their vehicles in a safe and controlled environment.

According to the CEO of GP Exec, Paul Steer, having Kumho on board is a great boost to the GP Exec track days particularly with the launch of Kumho's first S-UHP tyre.

"Our customers are always looking for the best tyres to enhance the performance of their machines on the track and with the PS91 they can now combine great race circuit performance with a tyre they can use to and from the track," said Paul.

Kumho Tyre Australia's national marketing and training manager David Basha says GP Exec is a great fit for Kumho and is the ideal way for the new PS91 to be christened with enthusiast drivers using super cars on the track and the road.

"That is exactly what the PS91 was designed for and GP Exec provided us the best way of showcasing the awesome capability of our new flagship tyre," David said.

"Paul and the GP Exec team are extremely enthusiastic about the new Ecsta PS91 and Kumho is excited about being the tyre partner for GP Exec."

Paul Steer and his team bring years of experience in motor sport including production cars, Carrera Cup and V8 Supercars to the GP Exec concept and his background in corporate events means the events are run to the highest standards.

GP Exec Exclusive Track days are currently held at Wakefield Park Raceway with plans to expand across Australia and with some overseas tours on the drawing board for 2014 and beyond.

The company provides a number of different style days depending on customer requirements - including specially designed corporate events.
