Zetland, 28 February 2023 – Audi Australia is thrilled to announce its new partnership with renowned cultural institution, The Australian Ballet. Audi Australia will be the official 'Partner in Progress', a demonstration of thetwo future-focused brands' shared passion for innovation. Over the course of the multi-year partnership, the designation will be brought to life through support of significant projects and performances, the first being The Australian Ballet's production of Identity, coming in 2023.
2023 marks 60 years of The Australian Ballet. Six decades of ambition and imagination which places The Australian Ballet at the daring edge of pushing the art form beyond expectations. This culminates in ambitious programming, ground-breaking design, production quality and unique audience engagement.
To commence this exciting new collaboration, Audi is proud to support The Australian Ballet's production of Identity, a double-bill contemporary season featuring two all-new commissioned works from two of Australia's leading choreographers, The Australian Ballet's Resident Choreographer, Alice Topp, and Australian Dance Theatre's Artistic Director, Daniel Riley. The two works that form Identity draw together dancers, musicians, and designers from this country's rich creative ecosystem. Ground-breaking in each choreographers ambition their work explores what identity means to them, whether it be the identity of Australia, the identity of community or the identity of art.
However, this is not the first time the two brands have worked together, as Audi owners have been enveloped into the world of The Australian Ballet via exclusive behind the scenes access, intimate pre-performance opportunities, and access to the shows through Audi Australia's owners program, Audi Experience. In addition to Identity, the two brands have several other collaborative pursuits in the works that they look forward to sharing soon.
For Audi, the collaboration stands for not only articulating the centricity of progress and excellence to the brand, but also provides an opportunity to contribute to the progress of arts and culture locally, recognising Australia as a country of spectacular innovation.
"Audi both globally, but most importantly on a local level, has a long standing history of investment in the arts and iconic Australian cultural institutions," stated Jeff Mannering, Director of Audi Australia.
