After the recent introduction of the Sonata CRDi and Grandeur CRDi turbo Diesel models, Hyundai has expanded its Diesel range, adding the iMax CRDi shuttle with 5 speed 'Selectronic' automatic transmission.

The 5 speed 'Selectronic' automatic turbo Diesel iMax has a 2.5 CRDi turbo Diesel engine emitting 125 kW of peak power and a healthy 392 Nm of peak torque.

Impressively the iMax CRDi automatic model achieves a combined fuel consumption of only 9.8 litres / 100 km*. The gearshift is located in the dash away from the floor of the vehicle. The 'Selectronic' feature allows the driver to override the automatic mode and select gear changes as required.

To date, the sales mix between iMax models has been 72% petrol automatic to 28% CRDi turbo Diesel manual. With the introduction of the automatic turbo Diesel variant to the range Hyundai will attract incremental iMax customers looking for the combination of outstanding fuel economy matched with a 5 speed automatic transmission.

Dual front airbags, remote keyless entry (two remote keys are standard), alarm and Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) are standard. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Traction Control System (TCS) are standard on iMax CRDi manual and automatic models.

Underlining its unique value proposition, the iMax CRDi automatic is $10,500 less (at RRP) than the entry level Volkswagen Caravelle TDI 96 kW automatic and $16,500 less (at RRP) than the Mercedes Benz Vito 115 CDI Wagon automatic, whilst offering both more power and torque than either competitor^.

Backed by a five year / unlimited kilometre warranty, the Hyundai iMax shuttle accommodates eight with ease, in comfort and style. The middle row of seats are mounted on a rail system offering flexibility in the seating positions. The iMax provides a large dedicated luggage area that is not compromised by the eight seats. iMax is ideally placed to meet the needs of transit operators in the tourism, entertainment and corporate sectors as well as larger than average families who want the flexibility of eight seats plus luggage space. Small but important inclusions are the grab handles to make entry and exit easier and a high quality sound system with dedicated auxiliary input, allowing the connection of an iPod® or MP3 player.

A range of Genuine Hyundai Accessories is available for customers to ensure their iMax shuttle is tailored to their needs. The range includes Front Park Assist Sensors, Cargo Liner and Roof Racks (2 bar set) and Bluetooth® Phone Kit. All Genuine Hyundai Accessories are covered by Hyundai's Australian first 5 year Accessory warranty with unlimited kilometres.
