High Powered XD Astina Diesel Joins Mazda3 Range

The top-selling All-New Mazda3 range has expanded with the addition of a stylish diesel option - the new Mazda3 XD Astina.

Powered by the 2.2 litre SKYACTIV-D diesel engine, the Mazda3 XD Astina offers buyers a remarkable combination of performance and efficiency.

With class-leading outputs of 129kW and 420Nm, the SKYACTIV-D diesel engine also adds i-Stop and i-ELOOP, Mazda's innovative regenerative braking system, to help achieve fuel efficiency as low as 5.0 litres per 100km, an improvement of 12 per cent over the previous, less powerful diesel engine.

Mirroring the extensive list of equipment available on the petrol-powered Mazda3 SP25 Astina, the new XD Astina is set apart thanks to 18 inch bright alloy wheels, LED fog-lamps, a black painted lower rear bumper, a red accent around the front grille and black leather seats with an elegant suede trim.

Available in hatchback only, the XD offers two transmission types including a 6-speed SKYACTIV-MT manual or a 6-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic.

Mazda's commitment to safety can be seen from the wide range of safety features fitted as standard to the Mazda3 XD Astina.

In addition to a full complement of SRS Airbags, a reverse camera, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), the Mazda3 XD Astina is also fitted with the full suite of i-ACTIVSENSE safety technologies including Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), High Beam Control (HBC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRC), Smart Brake Support (SBS), Forward Obstruction Warning (FOW) and Smart City Brake Support (SCBS).

The stylish Mazda3 XD Astina is available from Mazda dealers across Australia with a Manufacturer's List Price of $40,230 for the 6-speed manual and $42,230 for the automatic.
